As RedState wrote earlier this afternoon, President and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, along with First Lady Melania Trump, attended an official, dignified handover ceremony at Dover AFB in Delaware.

Then just before leaving Dover, Pres. Trump gave a teaser about “the message” of Wednesday night’s speech.

Earlier in the day, WH press secretary Karoline Leavitt hinted that the speech would cover Trump 47’s “historic accomplishments such as the border, inflation and what’s to come.”
On Wednesday, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives passed a health care plan, which now heads to the Senate for consideration.

Before moving on to the president’s speech, there was some positive economic news before Trump’s speech to all Americans, and it is linked to the feeling of great confidence in the American economy from the very people who often grow it through investment and hiring. Axios reported the results of two recent surveys of executives and investors on Wednesday, both showing that most are optimistic about the direction we’re heading.
Investor optimism is at the “highest level since August 2021” about the economy, according to a Bank of America survey of more than 200 fund managers.
To a lesser extent, the most recent quarterly survey of CFOs (CFOs) conducted by Deloitte, known as CFO Signals, with the participation of (coincidentally) 200 executives, “measured executives’ optimism about overall economic and business conditions on a scale of 1 to 10.” This showed their “[c]Confidence rose to 6.6 in the fourth quarter, up from 5.7 in the previous quarter and 5.8 a year ago.”
Here is a part that is particularly linked to the president’s speech. Axios reported that these CFOs “are less uncertain than they were earlier this year about big policy changes such as tariffs and regulations, as well as interest rates.”
One of the major points Pres. In his speech, which lasted just under 30 minutes, Trump spoke about these economic policy changes from former President Biden’s tenure, including on affordability, explaining that it goes hand in hand with the calamity of illegal immigration brought on by Biden:
🔥 FROM PRESIDENT TRUMP: “For the past four years, the United States has been governed by politicians who fought only for internals, illegal aliens, career criminals, corporate lobbyists, prisoners, terrorists and especially foreign nations…
…They flooded your towns and villages with… pic.twitter.com/057blo2E8a

And Americans’ take-home pay, he said, is booming compared to that of the President’s era. Biden:
Democrats cannot dispute these results 🔥
– Factory worker’s salary increases by $1,300
– Construction workers’ wages increase by $1,800
– Mining workers’ wages increase by $3,300Boom! pic.twitter.com/Oae26EBTZY

Trump added another epic job fact under the new administration, with every new job created happening in the private sector:
🔥WHOA: President Trump announces that 100% of ALL NEW JOBS created under his administration are in the PRIVATE SECTOR – not government!

He explained how rising inflation rates have affected the mortgage market, describing it as “depriving many families” of achieving the American dream:
.@POTUS: “The annual cost of a typical new mortgage increased by $15,000 under the Democratic administration. In 11 months, I have already reduced that annual cost by $3,000.” pic.twitter.com/2YWbxBIk8G

He discussed the corruption of politicians that harm Americans and their well-being, including the Somali discord in the state of Minnesota under a Democratic administration:
.@POTUS: For so long, the vast majority of good, honest Americans have been forced to watch as corrupt politicians plundered the halls of power, exploited our taxpayers, and plundered every system that makes a civilized society function.

Trump has talked about reverse migration, with many illegal immigrants self-deporting in the past year since he returned to office, which is a boon for Americans looking for jobs or new housing:
President Trump: “We are now seeing REVERSE MIGRATION as migrants return home, leaving more housing and more jobs for AMERICANS!” » pic.twitter.com/YMnbpn8ViO

He also announced some news, saying that all military personnel will receive a “warrior dividend” as a Christmas gift:

Looking to the future, the President spoke about the upcoming U.S.-hosted World Cup, the celebrations surrounding our nation’s founding in 2026, and how the world will marvel at our accomplishments and greatness in the new year:
.@POTUS: Soon we will host the World Cup, the Olympics and, most importantly, we will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
When the world looks at us next year, may it see a nation LOYAL to its citizens, LOYAL to its workers,… pic.twitter.com/Bz8XoaGwq4
