Trump Turned DHS Into a “Department of Deportation”: Report
America’s largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, was heading to a position close enough to carry out strikes on the country, the Times reported, and the president was meeting with officials to review military options. He did not rule out direct action inside the country.
Trump has been saber-rattling Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro for some time now, claiming he was allowing armed gangs to smuggle drugs into the United States. The Venezuelan military is now on alert, creating a pressure cooker situation, although, as several media outlets have reported, Trump officials and aides have said conflicting things about the purpose of these measures.

Although the legality of these strikes is questionable, they killed dozens of people in the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, and hI created a wave of anger and discontent among the international community, among Americans – and even among Trump’s base.
