An unearthed Bluesky account believed to belong to alleged White House Correspondents Association dinner shooter Cole Allen shows he was a staunch supporter of Ukraine, a fixation he shared with another would-be assassin of President Donald Trump.

Allen — a 31-year-old California teacher who allegedly called Trump a “sociopathic mob boss” on the left-wing social media platform — faces two preliminary criminal charges after opening fire at the Washington Hilton Hotel, where the dinner with the president was taking place. The suspect claimed “support for Ukraine” in his purported Bluesky bio, according to a screenshot shared on X by former Republican National Committee rapid response director Steve Guest.

“Hi! I’m a random Californian with posts about US politics, support for Ukraine, and sightings of small creatures,” reads the bio for a now-suspended account – identifying itself as “coldForce” – on the platform. The account was Allen’s, the Post Millennial reported, citing an unnamed senior government official.

The account’s user called Vice President JD Vance “a piece of shit” in response to a clip of Vance saying he was proud of the Trump administration for cutting off aid to Ukraine, according to a screenshot shared on X by Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet. The vice president was also present at the dinner during which Allen fired several shots.

“[H]We are proud that we are not living up to our commitments,” the account purportedly belonging to Allen said in the same derogatory post hitting Vance for his stance on sending taxpayer dollars to the war-torn Eastern European country.

Likewise, Ryan Routh, the middle-aged man who attempted to assassinate Trump – then the Republican presidential candidate – at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15, 2024, was also an avowed fanatical supporter of Ukraine.

“I AM READY TO FLY TO KRAKOW AND GO TO THE BORDER OF UKRAINE TO VOLUNTEER, FIGHT AND DIE,” Routh, who was sentenced to life in prison in February, wrote in a Twitter post in 2022, the New York Times reported.

In fact, Routh was such a staunch supporter of the country that the Ukrainian Foreign Legion even took the step of openly disavowing him and calling his ideas “delusional.”

Oleksandr Shaguri, a representative for the legion, told CNN at the time that the would-be assassin had contacted the military unit several times but was continually rebuffed.

“He [Routh] offered us a large number of recruits from different countries but it was obvious to us that his offers were not realistic. We didn’t even respond, there was nothing to respond to,” Shaguri told the outlet in September 2024. “He was never part of the Legion and did not cooperate with us in any way.

Routh said in a 2023 interview with The New York Times — conducted more than a year before he attempted to kill Trump in Florida — that he spent several months of 2022 in Ukraine. He also told the outlet he was looking to recruit Afghan soldiers who fled the Taliban for his so-called pro-Ukraine effort, saying dozens were interested. The 57-year-old added that he planned to transport the so-called soldiers from the Middle East and South Asia to Eastern Europe.

Additionally, the Justice Department alleged in April 2025 that Routh attempted to obtain rockets from a person he believed to be Ukrainian in order to use them to shoot down Trump’s personal plane.

“[S]finish me an RPG [rocket propelled grenade] or stinger and I’ll see what we can do… [Trump] is not good for Ukraine,” Routh told the individual, according to the agency.
