Kanye West might regret being a Nazi, but the damage is done

After spending years praising Adolf Hitler And adopt anti-Semitic rhetoricRapper Kanye West apparently still feels remorse.
West, who now goes by the name Ye, eliminated a one-page ad in the Wall Street Journal to apologize and make excuses for his recent conduct, which involved selling shirts decorated with swastikas as recently as last February.

“I’m a Nazi,” he said plainly said in 2022.
THE long letter of contrition, titled “To Those I’ve Hurt,” drew on West’s 2002 car accident, claiming it led to brain damage that caused his current diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
“I lost touch with reality,” he wrote. “I am neither a Nazi nor an anti-Semite. I love the Jewish people.”
The fact is that West has been here many, many times before and, historically, he has followed his apology with more anti-Semitic remarks.
In February 2025, West took over a previous apologies he had done in 2023, then praised Hitler. A few months later, he released a song called “Hello Hitler.”

But we’re not here to create a rant against the rapper for his very public and unfortunate record of terrible comments. However, the Grammy-winning artist’s casual anti-Semitic behavior has managed to do one thing: contribute to the increasing normalization of anti-Semitism on the right.
West is already in these circles. In 2022, it is indeed West who, due to his proximity to President Donald Trump, introduced the president to the Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes during a highly controversial dinner at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Fuentes is a notorious anti-Semite. Just last week, Fuentes, who runs the so-called Groyper Movement racist Internet weirdos, was seen dancing to West’s “Heil Hitler” in a Miami nightclub. Other influencers of the manosphere would have sang the title of the song and even gave Nazi salutes.
West also has a long-standing friendship with the famous Elon Musk, passionate about the Nazi salutewould have even given advice to the multi-billionaire on build your business city in Texas.
This widespread anti-Semitism has also seeped deeply into right-wing politics. The young republicans were exposed for their blatant texts joking about the gas chambers and saying they “love Hitler”.
While West may regret helping to normalize such vicious hatred, the damage has already been done.
