US Dusts Off War Plans Against Venezuela As Caribbean Troop Build-Up Gains Velocity – RedState
Trump’s Ministry of War is developing plans for kinetic operations against drug traffickers inside Venezuela, according to a history of new NBCs. These strikes could start in a “week matter”. Strikes would be mainly carried out by drones and target members of the drug cartel and leadership, as well as by drug laboratories.
By putting aside the fragility of the story, there are some considerations which move it from the “totally improbable” category to “slightly plausible”. First, a warning. The US military has plans for almost all eventualities. If a decision was made to force an entry to Venezuela, then a Ranger battalion would be the logical choice to grasp an aerodrome, as was made in Grenada and Panama. There are certainly enough planes that move in the region to support such an operation.
