‘That’s why they are the Bronx Bombers’
Tampa – After an hour and 56 -minute rain delay saw countless lightning bolts electrify the sky over George M. Steinbrenner Field on Tuesday, the Yankees brought thunder.
Those who stayed in the Spring Bombers training complex – rented by the Rays this regular season – were treated to a man derby, while Tampa Bay Shane Baz Starter was consecutive against the Jacks Aaron, Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton during the first round. The dam set the tone for a 13-3 Yankees victory that saw the team overwhelm nine circuits in total, equaling a deductible record which they set in a victory over the Brewers on March 29.
Yankees are now the first team in the history of major leagues to record multi-homes matches in one season.
“We hit new? WoW,” said Aaron Boone, who apparently ignored the count, after slaughtering Tampa. “To do it twice, it’s remarkable.”
Tuesday’s victory also saw the Yankees become one of the three teams to hit three consecutive circuits three times in a season. They joined the Dodgers 2024 and the brewers of 1982, by Katie Sharp de Stathead.

The Yankees started their slugfest in style against the Rays, while the judge’s great fly traveled 429 feet to the eye of Steinbrenner Field striker. The dinger was his 40th of the season.

“He is locked up on the plate at the moment,” said Bellinger, “and it’s very impressive.”
Rice immediately followed Stanton with the seventh round trip of the match Yankees. Bellinger, meanwhile, became the second Yankee to record an outing for two hommers when he took Ian Seymour Deep for two points in the sixth.
But he would not be the last to leave the courtyard twice.
It ended up being Caballero. He had only two circuits this season before Tuesday’s match, but it was he who equaled the Home Run of Yankees record when he launched another solo shot from Mason Montgomery to the ninth.
