The educators, join our free webinar in two parts and learn to bring coding and the science of citizens to your learners!

Global learning and observation for the benefit of the environment (GLOBE) The program is a scientific and educational program that focuses on the progress of earth systems sciences through the collection and analysis of data by citizen scientists. These webinaries introduce Globe Mission mosquitoes – a global program where students and community members collect environmental data and emerge, a project based on Florida but largely adaptable which transforms this data into the risk of illness at the origin of mosquitoes.

Session 1 (September 17 at 6 p.m.): Introduction to Emerge and Globe. You will learn how students can collect data on mosquito housing and land cover with the Free Globe Observer application, then complete a guided coding mission to view these observations on the cards and explore connections with satellite data from NASA. It is a friendly environment for people who have never coded before!

Session 2 (September 24 at 6 p.m. He): We will regroup to examine the sale of coding – distress problems, share outings samples and discuss strategies to adapt the lesson in class, programs after school and libraries.
