We’re ‘Very Close’ to Achieving Iran Goals, Winding Down Epic Fury – RedState

President Donald Trump said on social media Friday that after decimating Iran’s armed forces and killing former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and nearly all of the Islamic Republic’s leaders, we are moving closer to the end of the conflict.
In fact, he wrote, it’s time to consider “terminating” Operation Epic Fury. Regarding the main shipping waterway, the Strait of Hormuz, the president said it is not a particularly American problem, and that the United States is not as dependent on oil passing through the canal as Asian and European countries are.

Although the administration often faces harsh criticism from experts who say Trump has not clearly defined the mission’s goals, the president has laid out exactly what he is looking for and how we are close to achieving those goals:
We are very close to achieving our goals as we consider ending our major military efforts in the Middle East regarding the Iranian terrorist regime: (1) Completely degrade Iran’s missile capability, launchers and everything related. (2) Destroy Iran’s defense industrial base. (3) Eliminate their navy and air force, including anti-aircraft weapons. (4) Never allow Iran to come even close to nuclear capability, and always be in a position where the United States can respond quickly and powerfully to such a situation, should it arise. (5) Protect, at the highest level, our Middle East allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and others.

How is the Iranian regime still standing? Because they had 47 years to plan their “cockroach infestation”
As we reported, Trump was seriously thwarted when he tried to assemble a coalition of allies to patrol and protect Hormuz, and supposed partners like the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany and Australia flatly refused him.
Trump responded with the ace: Good luck, because we’re not as dependent as you are on oil coming through the strait.
It didn’t take long for some of these countries to quickly reverse course:

Trump reiterated this theme in his Truth Social article:
The Strait of Hormuz will have to be guarded and monitored, if necessary, by the other nations that use it – which is not the case for the United States! If asked, we will assist these countries in their efforts in Hormuz, but this should not be necessary once the Iranian threat is eradicated. What is important is that it will be an easy military operation for them. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
The next time the United States asks other countries to participate in actions that benefit it and the world, it may want to think twice before summarily rejecting the idea.
The Iranian regime, what remains of it, is hanging on by brutalizing its people and launching missiles at its neighbors. However, two things are hurting their survival: They will eventually run out of missiles, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s financial crackdown will soon make their lives very difficult.
According to Trump, the operation could be closer to the end than the beginning. Let’s hope he’s right: a free and prosperous Iran would be a beautiful thing to see.
Editor’s note: For decades, past presidents have done nothing but talk. Now, Donald Trump eliminates the Iranian threat once and for all.
