Woman found dead in Harlem apartment with head trauma

A woman was found dead with trauma to her head inside an apartment in Harlem Friday, cops said.
Responding officers found the unidentified woman’s lifeless body inside an apartment at the mixed-use building on W. 124th St. near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. around 1:38 p.m., according to law enforcement.
The office of the city’s medical examiner will determine her cause of death, police said.
The 18-story building where the woman was found is part of Marcus Garvey Village and includes 51 supportive housing apartments for the formerly homeless. The development’s supportive housing component is operated by Urban Pathways and funded by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
An NYPD spokesman could not immediately say whether the victim was found within the development’s supportive housing component.
