World’s Top HealthTech Companies of 2025 Methodology

This year, Time published its first ranking of the best global health companies, in partnership with Statista, one of the main international suppliers of data and consumption rankings. The ranking aims to highlight health technology companies that stimulate innovation, improve accessibility and contribute to a more efficient and lasting health care system. Here’s how the companies were selected.
Methodology
The “Top Healthtech Companies 2025 research” research project is a complete international analysis carried out to identify the most innovative and impactful health technology companies around the world. The study is based on three key evaluation pillars:
- Financial performance
- Reputation analysis
- Online engagement
The first dimension, financial performance, was evaluated thanks to a detailed analysis of financial measures, such as income by employee and the amount of financing. These measures have provided an overview of the financial stability, growth potential and business efficiency. This dimension represented 50% of the total score.
The second dimension, reputation analysis, has evaluated how companies and their digital health solutions are publicly perceived. By using social listening techniques, the analysis has captured the feeling, visibility and credibility perceived by examining the content accessible to the public, such as media coverage, blogs, forums and social media activity. This dimension contributed 30% to the total score.
The third dimension, online engagement, measured the levels of reach and engagement of companies via their digital platforms. Website traffic has been the key indicator of user engagement. This dimension represented 20% of the overall score.
Once the data has been collected and evaluated, they have been consolidated and weighted in a three -dimensional rating model. The final score was calculated from these dimensions, each contributing according to their respective weighting to the overall score. The 400 companies with the highest scores have been recognized as the best global health companies.
