You’ll soon be able to hide games from your Xbox achievements list

Microsoft is testing by giving users more control over which games appear in their Xbox achievements and adjusting how achievements look when earned. The changes are being introduced through the company’s free Xbox Insiders program and will likely roll out to all Xbox owners at some point in the future.
Later in April, some Xbox Insiders will be able to hide games from their achievement list, whether they’ve completed them or not. Hidden games will still count towards users’ Gamerscore, but this option should be another way to manage your public profile. Microsoft is also experimenting with changing how it displays achievements. Xbox Insiders will receive redesigned achievements with new animations and notifications that match the custom color they chose for their Xbox interface. Games that Insiders have 100% achievements on will also be highlighted in their achievement list, and Insiders will be able to filter their list to only show games that they have fully completed.
According to Microsoft, the ability to hide games from the Achievements list is “one of the most requested features” by Xbox Insiders. The company’s March update, which allowed users to selectively exclude games from Xbox’s Quick Resume feature, was also long requested. It would probably be wrong to characterize these changes as being downstream of new Microsoft Gaming CEO Asha Sharma’s stated desire to “re-engage” with Xbox, but they don’t hurt when it comes to winning over fans – especially if the company’s continued presence in the console space ends up being dependent on an expensive box that plays both PC and Xbox games.
