State health officials in Kansas say three people with “a high-risk” exposure to an infected hantavirus cruise ship passenger have now been transferred to a Kansas City hospital “for observation.” Officials say they were not on the ship themselves and that the encounter happened abroad. Meanwhile, CDC staffers are in Omaha and interviewing the 16 quarantined Americans “about their exposure to confirmed cases.” NBC’s Maggie Vespa reports for TODAY.
