A Tale of Two Protests, San Francisco and Florida – RedState

San Francisco has been a crazy place for a while now. The city has been a liberal stronghold for years, probably since shortly after World War II. But over the past two decades, the city’s left-wing population has become pure wackos. It’s also a hotbed of Trump derangement syndrome; If President Trump found a way to produce clean, free electricity from scratch, the left in San Francisco would suddenly be campaigning for coal-fired power plants.

Now, in the latest chapter of “San Francisco Goes Guano Crazy,” San Franciscans take to the streets (I’m sure it’s truly spontaneous) to protest Trump’s ouster of Venezuela’s phony dictator, Nicolás Maduro.

Note the usual elements of left-wing protests: slickly, seemingly professionally printed signs, as well as handmade, poorly spelled signs with poor handwriting and worse grammar. AWFL. People are still wearing COVID masks. It’s a cavalcade of the usual suspects.

There’s one thing, though, that makes these people look even dumber than they already are, and that’s saying something. This thing, of course, is the reaction of Venezuelan expatriates in the United States, people who fled the illegitimate regime of dictator Maduro. These people are not chanting “Hands off Venezuela.” They are literally dancing in the streets.

The message continues:

People carried the flag of Venezuela and sang together early in the morning. “It’s not an act of war. It’s an act of freedom,” said one Venezuelan.

» said a Venezuelan. Not,” said a Republican. Not,” said one American right-wing warmonger. A Venezuelan. This seems to be the common talk among Venezuelan expats at the moment.

But wait! There’s more! These happy Venezuelans are jumping for joy, and none of the people they express their gratitude to are liberals from San Francisco.

They came out in the middle of the night when they heard the news, some still in their pajamas as they joined the crowds of revelers waving Venezuelan flags and dancing, singing and crying.

“Thank you, Lord, thank you President of the United States. I’ve been waiting for years – he’s done so much damage. It’s been horrible,” said Yajaira, a Venezuelan American from the city of Maracaibo.

A Venezuelan who came to the United States because of Maduro and his dictatorial and corrupt regime. This guy has a vested interest in what is currently happening in Caracas. None of these crazy people from San Francisco do it.

News that the United States had attacked Venezuela and captured President Nicolás Maduro and his wife sparked a spontaneous celebration outside El Arepazo, a restaurant in Doral, a town in Miami-Dade County nicknamed “Doralzuela” because it is home to the highest concentration of Venezuelans in the United States.

“We’ve been here for eight years, eight years already,” Yajaira said, referring to the time she spent in the United States. “They killed my older brother. It was so hard. They kidnapped my brothers. It was hard. I thank God for all of that because it was hard,” she said, her voice cracking as she looked up at the sky.

Yajaira can go home now. The new Venezuela will need the return of its population if it is to develop, as it should, into a modern and prosperous country. Venezuela will need large numbers of people who fled Maduro’s brutality; its professionals, its workers, its families.

As for the San Francisco liberals and the crazy leftists, well, when you consider how much weight to give to the actions of two groups of people, look at which ones have skin in the game. The partying Venezuelans in Caracas and Florida have a vested interest in what’s happening in Venezuela. San Francisco protesters simply hate President Trump. That’s really all we need to know about it, and that’s for sure.
