The Globos de Oro contains some predictable moments, like “One Battle After Another” (“A battle against another”) and “Adolescence” (“Adolescence”) arrasaron, and the presenter Nikki Glaser is made burló of the edad de las parejas of Leonardo DiCaprio.
But there are sweet moments, too, like “Adolescence” star Erin Doherty, who played a child therapist, won TV’s best actress trophy — and got better at therapists.
When George Clooney, who fell to the edge of the storyline, gallantly helped Jean Smart endure the podium and then worked with his former “ER” companion, Noah Wyle, en route to accepting the award for best television drama from “The Pitt.”
There are also out-of-this-world moments, as Rose Byrne explained that her partner and fellow actor Bobby Cannavale wasn’t there to see her win: She fell into a reptile show in New Jersey because the family is getting a barbud dragon.
A sweet occasion was that of Rhea Seehorn, the actress of “Pluribus”, in the scenario to accept her acting award in a drama series, the first to tell the presenter Queen Latifah that the acquaintance that 20 years ago between her workers and the actress-violent was “very kind”.
Other moments include a golden noir of Brazilian cinema, Seth Rogen holding déjà vu, NPR’s Amy Poehler burlándose, and “KPop Demon Hunters” singer-songwriter Ejae animating viewers to follow the effort.
Brazil enters calories
Wagner Moura made the Globo de Oro the best actor in a dramatic film, converting himself into the Brazilian second half by winning a Globos action award after Fernanda Torres’ victory last year with “Ainda Estou Aquí” (“Aún estoy aquí”).
Moura in “O Agente Secreto” (“The Secret Agent”) plays a university professor forced to evade his intention to protect his grandson during Brazil’s military dictatorship in the 1970s. The film also made Globo the best English-language film.
“The Secret Agent is a film about memory – or the failure of memory – and generative trauma,” Moura said in his acceptance speech. “I believe that if trauma can transmit values to a large extent, then values can also be. So, it is for those who maintain their businesses in their values in difficult times.”
Moura is famous for his portrayal of Colombian drug trafficker Pablo Escobar in Netflix’s “Narcos,” which aired from 2015 to 2017 and earned a Globo de Oro nomination in 2016. He also appeared in 2024’s “Civil War.”
The domingo, superó the skill of Joel Edgerton in “Train Dreams” (“Sueños de trenes”), Oscar Isaac from “Frankenstein”, Dwayne Johnson in “The Smashing Machine” (“La Machine: The Smashing Machine”), Michael B. Jordan in “Sinners” and Jeremy Allen White from “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere”.
Last year, Brazil won its first Oscar in the international film category for “Ainda Estou Aquí” (“Aún estoy aquí”).
Life imitates art for Seth Rogen
Seth Rogen made his first Globo de Oro just a few months after his showbiz satire “The Studio” made a full episode at the same awards ceremony.
“This is so rare! We have our finger on this and now we are truth winners,” Rogen said, holding up his trophy. “Think that the unique shape can help create a complete program to weaponize a fake.”
The Globo de Oro episode of “The Studio” follows Rogen’s study principal, Matt, as he attends the Globos, where he becomes obsessed with the idea his name mentioned in an acceptance speech.
In his actual acceptance speech, Rogen was aggregated by his fellow nominees, mentioning “Only Murders in the Building” duo Steve Martin and Martin Short. “Recuerdo haber crecido viéndolos, toda mi vida Thought, ‘Un día los voy a superar’”. Luego se rió, añadiendo “No thought que lo haría”.

“Golden”, rightly so, won the Globos de Oro
“Golden” from “KPop Demon Hunters” gave the Globo for Best Original Song and one of its composers did a reading for others who read for savings.
“When I was a little kid, he worked during those years to fulfill a dream: to turn me into a K-pop idol. I became and disappointed because my voice was not good enough,” said Ejae, who is one of the performers of the song and composed it with Mark. Sonnenblick and Lee Hee-joon. “Now I am here as a singer and songwriter.”
“That’s why there is a certain reality that is part of a song that helps other girls, other girls and all young people to overcome their difficulties and accept them,” Ejae added.
The “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack has been racking up popularity charts – debuting at number one on the Billboard soundtrack chart and at number one on the all-genre Billboard 200. The film also placed Globo in the best animated film.
The letra of “Golden” dice: “I’ve waited so long to tear down these walls/To wake up and feel like me/Put these models in the past now/And finally live like the girl they all see” (Esperé tanto tiempo para derribar estos muros/Despertar y sentime como yo/Dejar estos patrones en el pasado/Y finalmente vivir como la chica que todos ven).
“Adolescence” and the hope of “eliminating odio”
“Adolescence” won four Globos de Oro and its guide Jack Thorne struck the young people in the program by saying: “We are proof that the world can be better”.
“Eliminating the smell is the responsibility of our generation. Requires reflection from the bottom up. The possibility is now remote, but the hope is something hermoso,” he added.
The four-chapter Netflix miniseries, which follows the emotional seconds after the start of a teenage girl in the United Kingdom, has become a sensation. I received an Emmy award last year, including a limited series or an anthology series.
On Sunday, “Adolescence” made Globos in the best limited series, an anthology series or a film broadcast for television; television film actor for Owen Cooper; television reporting actress for Erin Doherty; and leading actor on television for Stephen Graham.
