Dodgers vs. Brewers: Odds, schedule, Game 3 prediction, pick
The Dodgers have a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers after two hot starts. Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Blake Snell combined to pitch 17 scoreless innings to start the series in Milwaukee as the Dodgers return to Los Angeles two wins away from their second straight pennant. Yamamoto pitched the first complete game in the MLB postseason in eight years Tuesday night in a 5-1 Game 2 win.
The Brewers, the top seed in the Major League Baseball playoffs, became the fourth and final team to advance to the league championship round Saturday night. The Brewers advanced to their first NLCS since 2018 when they defeated the Chicago Cubs in Game 5 of their NLDS matchup to win the best-of-five series by a 3-2 margin.
While the Dodgers are making their fourth NLCS appearance in six years, the Brewers have only reached this stage twice since arriving in NL in 1998: in 2018 (when they met the Dodgers) and in 2011, when they were eliminated by the St. Louis Cardinals. The Dodgers are trying to become the first MLB champions to repeat the World Series since the New York Yankees won three in a row in 1998-2000.
