Eric Adams Makes Big Announcement About Future of Mayor Campaign, Then Came Some Bizarre Off-Mic Comments – RedState
The mayor of New York, Eric Adams, made an announcement on the future of his mayor campaign, which clearly indicates that he does not give up, and it was not even the bizarre of the very brief press conference.
But first, the announcement. Addressing press members on Friday, Adams was held behind a podium in Gracie Mansion and made accusations of racism against his opponent, former governor Andrew Cuomo. He also labeled Cuomo and his other adversary, the democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, “spoiled frogs” who do not know what New Yorkers need.

Adams said the reason he called the press conference was that there had been so much speculation and announcements on what he was going to do, that he had decided to speak directly to the voters and tell them that he was going nowhere.

“So I want to be clear with you,” said Adams. “Andrew Cuomo is a snake and a liar. I am in this race, and I am the only one who can beat Mamdani. Andrew has had a career to push the black candidates of the races.”
“It is his career that must stop with me,” he added. “This city cannot go back, New Yorkers. It is a city that I inherited when crime was out of control. Covid, no one wanted to be on our metro system.”
Adams underlined his efforts to reduce crime, before the microphone cuts a little, and when he returned, he said: “And I will continue to do it.” We don’t know what he said when the microphone failed.
“What we have done in three and a half years shows why we have to continue the success we have,” said New York mayor. “I have two spoiled frogs run for the mayor. They were born with silver spoons in their mouths. Not like the working class of New Yorkers. I am a New Yorker from the working class. They are not like us.”
“I run for a re-election, and I’m going to tell New Yorkers every day why I think I should be the mayor of New York City in 2026,” he added. “I’m running and I’m going to beat Mamdani.”
Adams also closed his information that he was in Washington, DC on Monday. He finished his speech and took no questions, while the journalists shouted questions before moving away and getting out of sight.

And then came the bizarre part of the entire supplier, who were the off-mic is revealing the members of the press. There were quite a few, but here is what stood out.
First journalist: “Why were we called here for this?”
Second journalist: “It’s such … ..”
Third journalist: “You harass journalists all the time [inaudible name]. You are a city employee. You harass journalists all the time … If you don’t make enough money, it’s a problem with you. “”
The out-of-camera person (perhaps the city employee with whom the third journalist spoke): “… you harass me.”
As Redstate reported, New York could end up with a radical socialist as mayor unless Adams or Cuomo fee, because if the three remain in the assistance of the mayor, Mamdani wins.
