Gavin Newsom’s Redistricting Plan Is Pissing Off California GOP
The Supreme Court of California has canceled the attempt of the GOP of the State to delay the redistribution plan of Governor Gavin Newsom, by cleaning the track so that the measure reaches the referendum vote of November.
The GOP legislators who tabled the protest argued that Newsom had advanced too quickly and violated the state independent redistribution commission.
On Wednesday, judges disagreed.
Newsom’s plan, which is subordinate to Texas passing his initial redistribution effort,Some California Republicans have exasperated.
“We have a governor, we have political initiates, we have legislators who break the constitution of California by drawing the cards of the congress behind closed doors, without transparency”, the senator from the State of California, Suzette Martinez Valladares, said Cnn Brianna Keilar Wednesday.

Vallardares avoided the question, insisting rather on the fact that what Newsom was doing was completely illegal.
“If you cannot criticize the Republicans in Texas for their approach, which is so different from the one you defend in California, how should voters see the Republicans of California … Opposed to a decision like this only when it does not favor them?” Asked the journalist of CNN.

California’s redistribution referendum is scheduled for November 4.
