New GOP Outrage As Minnesota Dems Unite to Shield Walz From Impeachment – RedState

There’s one thing you have to admit about Democrats: They stick together. They support each other, regardless of the accusations, at least until things get so bad with one particular donkey (Eric Swalwell) that they simply have to admit that the dead groundhog on the porch is starting to stink.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz doesn’t seem to have reached that smelly point yet. The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), aka what they call the Minnesota Democrats, has now united to block any Republican impeachment proceedings against Governor Walz and his equally dead woodchuck-smelling Attorney General, Keith Ellison.
Conservatives, not just in Minnesota but around the world, are not happy with this decision.
Conservatives on social media erupted in outrage Thursday after Minnesota Democratic lawmakers united to block a Republican effort to further investigate and impeach Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison.
A resolution passed by the Minnesota House Rules and Legislative Administration Committee to launch an impeachment inquiry and allow the committee to hold hearings, issue subpoenas and further investigate the massive fraud scandal was blocked after all eight Democrats on the committee voted against it. Fox 9 Minneapolis reported.
Lawmakers deadlocked 8-8 in a no-party-line vote.
Because of course they did. The Democrats are supporting their candidate, and honestly, that’s something the Republicans could be a little better at.
Here’s a real screamer:
“This is a fundamentally unserious proposal from a fundamentally unserious party that is not interested in governing,” Minnesota Democratic Farm and Labor Party Rep. Michael Howard said of the move.
Oh, the irony! Half the state of Minnesota is raking in billions in blatant fraud, and he says the Republican minority is making mistakes?
Here is the onion:
“Gas prices are rising because of Trump’s illegal war in Iran. Health care, housing and child care costs are skyrocketing. We have hospitals closing, and yet this is what we’re going to do today? A bill that goes absolutely nowhere, dead on arrival.”
Um, in Minnesota, y’all just raised your gas tax by a little over 3 cents a gallon, so best not pull that thread just yet. And yes, the Iranian attacks have caused gasoline and diesel prices to rise a bit; believe me, we all know, it currently costs me over $200 to fill the big tank of my huge diesel pickup. But look at where gas prices were during the entire Biden administration — and how they fell after President Trump took office and turned on the taps.

Tim Walz faces more fraud as Minnesota House votes to completely eradicate corrupt program
The responses to this blockage have been, shall we say, vigorous. Here’s a good example: Townhall columnist Dustin Grage used his X account to drop this truth bomb:
Minnesotans lost $9 billion in taxpayer money to just 14 Medicaid programs under Tim Walz’s administration.
Today, every Democrat on the Rules Committee voted to block an investigation into this fraud.

Are you worried that taxpayers will be bombed? Look at the gas pump, sure — but look at the widespread fraud that Minnesota Republicans are trying to shed light on. Here, see some other hotshots aimed at Minnesota Democrats:
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. All Democrats on Minnesota House Rules Committee vote to BLOCK fraud investigations led by Tim Walz.
With straight faces, Democrats approved more than $9 billion in stolen tax dollars
They are panicked and don’t want anyone to find out how this was allowed… pic.twitter.com/4XWnzZu3cs

The message continues:
They are panicked and don’t want anyone to find out how this could have happened.
REMOVE WALZ FROM THE OFFICE and start criminal proceedings for complicity!
And:
You do not block fraud investigations unless you benefit from the fraud https://t.co/n5RZJgcUmO

Everything is true. What’s also true is that Minnesota Democrats aren’t going to budge. When they have power, they use it. And that’s another thing that Republicans should be a little better at.
