Ole Miss mourns ‘a great young man’ as freshman Corey Adams shot to death at 18 | College football
Ole Miss Corey Adams’ defensive line player died at the age of 18 during a Tennessee shooting, the school confirmed in a statement.
“While our program tries to face this tragic loss, our thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult period,” Ole Miss said in a statement published on social networks. “Out of respect for his family, we will not comment any more for the moment. We ask the OLE Miss community to keep Corey in their thoughts and to respect the privacy of all those involved. ”
The Sheriff’s Sheriff’s Bureau of Shelby said that the first year died during an incident on Saturday evening in Cordova, a short distance from Memphis. Police said ADAMS died on the scene of the shooting, in which four other men have suffered what would be injuries not putting his life in danger.

A statement on Edna Karr’s Facebook page remembered Adams like “a friend, a brother, a son, a student and all around the big young man”.
Adams began to attend Ole Miss in January as the first registered to gain experience before the start of the university football season next month.
