Spiranac wrote on X Thursday that there was at least one social media user who was a shining light for her despite all the criticism she receives.

“There’s this guy who comments ‘good cans’ on everything I post,” she wrote. “In a world full of hatred and despair, I know he will always be there to cheer me up.

“He has never missed a position in years.”

Spiranac has returned to social media sparingly and explained last month that she was in a state of “funk.”

“…And it’s not like it’s a one or two day thing,” Spiranac wrote on his Instagram Stories in February, via the New York Post. “This has been going on for a while. I feel like I’m so in my head about everything and I’m just trying to get through it. I think that’s why I haven’t posted as much because I’m overthinking everything and I just feel like my anxiety has taken over.

“I’m trying to get out of this and post more and get back to what I was doing before. I feel like I haven’t been active because I’ve just been in my own head, in this kind of funky rut and we’re working on it.”

Spiranac lamented that her audience and others had not seen her properly and said she thought she was “actually really misunderstood.”

Although she admitted that her “rut” has caused her to stay away from golf for a bit, she said that she hopes to create a more fun-oriented golf series in the near future.
