The highly anticipated Samsung mixed reality headset, formerly known by its codename Project Moohan, finally debuted this year as the Samsung Galaxy.

That is, if you live in the United States or South Korea. Samsung fans outside of these two countries are still waiting for the Galaxy XR. Luckily, it doesn’t look like they’ll wait too long after the Galaxy XR launch date in the US and South Korea on October 21.

According to a new report from SamMobileSamsung appears to be preparing a Galaxy XR launch in 2026 in Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Additionally, this list has not yet been finalized, and more countries may soon be added to the 2026 launch list.

Samsung appears to be in favor of a gradual rollout of the Galaxy XR in international markets rather than a wider global rollout.

Crushable speed of light

The Galaxy VR is essentially Samsung’s answer to the Meta Quest headset and the Apple Vision Pro. Samsung has priced the Galaxy VR at $1,799.99 in the United States, putting the device in the middle of its two competitors’ prices. Meta offers the most affordable device, starting at $299.99. Although the Galaxy VR may seem expensive compared to the Meta Quest, it seems to be the affordable option compared to the Apple Vision Pro at $3,499.

It’s not yet clear where Samsung will price its headset for upcoming international markets, but it will likely be priced similarly, depending on Samsung’s pricing in the U.S. and South Korean markets.

So the wait won’t be very long, readers from Canada and the EU. Soon you will be able to get acquainted with the Samsung Galaxy XR, just like Mashable did it for our Galaxy XR review.
