Protect children, not just animals, from lead exposure | Children

I am happy that the government has moved to protect birds and fauna from the toxic exposure to ban lead ammunition (Report, July 10). It would be great if his next decision might be to try to protect the 200,000 children estimated in the United Kingdom who have an exposure to asymptomatic and unmatched lead that will cause them cognitive health and deficiencies for life. Currently, we have a passive monitoring system that lacks 99% of cases.

When you work for the same public service department as Ian Arnott (Letters, July 14), my husband was informed by a senior manager that if he wanted to “climb” in his career, he should “lose the beard”. He did not do it – and he did not do it.

I discussed with a group of bearded students 16 years after an exam, highlighting the social changes they represented. During the training to teach in the 1960s, we, the students, had to shave the beard during the participation in schools in teaching practice. Were we just neglected or dangerous and left-handed?

REP Barney Ronay’s Article (July 11), Jasprit Bumrah is Toshiro Mifune from Cricket. A samurai fascinating for our time, he has sweet mine, shoulder vaulted, the intensity and natural authority of the warrior. And we love it.
