Russia hits Kyiv with drones and missiles, killing at least 2

Kyiv, Ukraine (AP) – A mass attack of Russian drones and missiles against the capital of Ukraine on Sunday killed at least two people and left smoke rising from the roof of a key government building.
The journalists of the Associated Press saw a plume of smoke rising from the roof of the kyiv ministers building, but it was not immediately clear if the smoke was the result of a direct blow, which would mark a climb in the air campaign in Russia. Russia has so far avoided targeting government buildings in the city center.
The building is the house of the Ukrainian cabinet, housing the offices of its ministers.
Ukrainian officials said two people had been killed and 11 injured in the attack.
Among the dead was a 1 year old child, whose body was dug out of the rubble by the rescuers, said Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city of kyiv.
Russian drone debris has struck four -story residential buildings in the districts of Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi of kyiv, according to Mayor Vitallii Klitschko.
Sunday’s attack is the second mass of Russian drones and missile attack to target kyiv in two weeks, while hopes for peace talks have won.
