The Meta Quest 3S is the best, most affordable gateway to VR – it’s now even cheaper in this Prime Day deal
If you’ve always thought that VR headsets are too niche a product category and you won’t use one regularly, let me direct your attention to the Meta Quest 3S. This affordable, comfortable, and capable VR headset represents one of the easiest paths to virtual reality – and it’s now up to 33% off thanks to Amazon’s October Prime Day sale.
Additionally, the bigger discount also applies to the higher-spec 256GB model, giving you more storage to download games. Although our tester said 128GB is fine for most users in our Meta Quest 3S review, I’d say doubling the storage for just AU$31 more at the time of writing is the more economical purchase.
If you’ve never used a VR headset before and are intimidated by the idea of setting one up, fear not. In reality, all you really need is a decent amount of space (ideally a 1m x 1m box around you) to move around while you play games. And I mean “box” because your arms will need space above your head to flail in some cases. You don’t need to install any base stations or other equipment, just get a good location and you’ll be fine.
