Some TikTok users in the United States have reported issues with “zero views,” restrictions and even bans on accounts that they say are linked to content about Palestine, criticism of Donald Trump and ICE, and even mentions of Jeffrey Epstein’s name in private messages.

Notably, this came days after the social media platform reached a deal to separate its U.S. operations from its global business. In the US, the app is now owned by TikTok USDS Joint Ventures LLC – a majority-owned private company created to oversee TikTok in the country. Immediately after the transfer, TikTok experienced outages and many US users reported difficulty logging into the platform. Once users could log in, they were asked to agree to the new terms of service, which raised privacy concerns for some users.
