President Trump warned Iran Wednesday evening that the U.S. military would remain ready to provide additional munitions and weapons to take action against Iran if necessary until a genuine agreement is reached and respected.
“All U.S. ships, aircraft and military personnel, with munitions, additional weapons and whatever else is appropriate and necessary to pursue and destroy an already significantly degraded enemy, will remain in place in and around Iran until the REAL DEAL reached is fully respected,” Mr. Trump said in a Truth Social article.
Mr. Trump said: “If for some reason it does not, which is highly unlikely, then the ‘shots’ will begin, bigger, better and louder than anyone has ever seen before. It was agreed, long ago, and despite all the false rhetoric to the contrary: NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN AND SAFE.”
The president said the military is “refueling and resting, eagerly awaiting its next conquest,” adding that “America is back!” »
In a previous article, Mr. Trump criticized the New York Times and CNN for each reporting a 10-point plan on negotiations with Iran, which Mr. Trump called “totally false.”
“The Failing New York Times and Fake News CNN each reported a completely FALSE TEN-POINT PLAN on negotiations with Iran, designed to discredit those involved in the peace process,” he said. “The ten points were a made-up hoax – evil losers!!! LET’S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

A CNN spokesperson told the Washington Times: “The statement in question was obtained by CNN from Iranian officials and was reported by several Iranian state media outlets. We received the statement from specific Iranian official spokespeople known to us.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters at a White House press briefing on Thursday that Iran “can no longer tolerate being bombed or take a gamble on what happens after President Trump’s 8 p.m. deadline” on Tuesday and that Iran has agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Ms. Leavitt, the White House received a proposal from the Iranians that was deemed to be a viable basis for negotiation.
“The Iranians initially presented a 10-point plan that was fundamentally unserious, unacceptable and completely rejected. It was literally thrown in the trash by President Trump and his negotiating team,” she said, adding that many media outlets falsely reported that the plan was acceptable to the United States.
Leavitt said negotiators will use a two-week ceasefire to “add some clarification” to a final agreement that will achieve long-term peace.
She said ending Iran’s uranium enrichment program is a key point that must be included in a final deal, and she warned the media not to accept Iranian arguments. Iran and the United States have reportedly made conflicting demands for a peace deal.

“The idea that President Trump would ever accept an Iranian wish list as a deal is completely absurd,” Ms. Leavitt said. “The President will only enter into an agreement that best serves the interests of the United States of America.”
