Trump Will Try to ‘Seize Ballot Boxes’ to ‘Subvert the Vote’ in Midterms
On MS NOW’s “The Briefing” Tuesday, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said President Donald Trump would try to “seize the ballot boxes” to “flip the vote” in the midterm elections.
Host Jen Psaki said, “The administration has subpoenaed Arizona’s 2020 records. We know it’s not about changing the outcome of the 2020 election. We know they’ve been through this before. It’s obviously 2026. What do you think about that and what is your level of concern about that?”
Schiff said: “I think the subpoenas in Arizona, in America, in Maricopa County, the FBI raid in Georgia, all of that is trying to establish some sort of false predicate so that they can say that the election system is so flawed, the machines don’t work. There’s too much fraud and mail-in voting in November, they can nationalize the election, they can somehow ban mail-in votes, or they can seize the votes. ballot boxes and they will have an excuse to do it. So this This is, I think, part of the need to lay the groundwork for interference, for vote suppression, even vote subversion. They understand, as we do in the Democratic Party, that they are at risk of being crushed in the midterms and, you know, they are willing to resort to anything.
He added: “So we’re doing everything every day to anticipate, to push back, to fight back. And in reality, the best protection we have is not in Congress. It’s certainly not in the Supreme Court. It’s those who have the most important title, which is that of voter. We have to overwhelm the polls so much with Democratic votes that this election, the midterms, is not even close to it.”
