Whole Foods soup recalled because of undeclared shrimp

Kettle Cuisine of Lynn, MA, is recalling 24-ounce cups of Whole Foods Market Kitchen minestrone soup that may contain undeclared shrimp.
People with allergies to shellfish, especially shrimp, are at risk of serious or fatal allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered in store that a cup of soup contained the wrong product and that the soup in the cup contained shrimp.
The recalled retail soup cups were distributed in the following states: AL, CT, DC, FL, GA, MA, MD, ME, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, at Whole Foods retail stores and nationwide through online sales through Whole Foods and Amazon.
The recalled product is packaged in a 24-ounce clear plastic cup with lot code: 1762181 and use by 05/27/26 on the top rim of the cup, and UPC ID 099482502065 on the back label.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this soup.
No other soups or usage codes are affected by this recall.
