Will Texans OT Trent Brown play vs. Patriots? Insider provides update

Will offensive tackle Trent Brown face the Houston Texans against his former team the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon?
After being tested during drills, Brown was declared inactive for Sunday’s playoff game against the New England Patriots due to a lingering ankle injury that limited him to one practice this week. The longtime lineman missed practices Wednesday and Thursday before being listed as limited during the team’s walk-throughs Friday.

Brown, who hasn’t been healthy for more than a month, also suffered a knee injury that cost him the final two games of the regular season. In his place, second-year tackle Blake Fisher started in his place for Week 18, while Tytus Howard moved to right tackle for the game in the Week 17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Brown returned to start and play the entire game in an AFC victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. When healthy, he’s the steady option at right tackle who complements a stable offensive line for nearly two months, starting with Aireontae Ersery at left tackle, Tyuts Howard at left guard, Jake Andrews at center and Ed Ingram at right guard.
Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN and ABC.
