Dennis Prager Speaks on Camera for First Time Since Paralysis; Talks God, Happiness, Charlie Kirk

The radio host and conservative author Dennis Prager made her first appearance on the camera since her injury in November 2024, sharing that he is “delighted to be alive” and has been, for years, “philosophically prepared” for “this terrible thing that I have met”.
Prager noted that a man called his radio program 15 or 20 years ago saying: “He prefers to be dead than a quadriplegic”, to whom he remembers replied: “You must joke. You have your mind, and you can speak, and you prefer to be dead because you can’t move your members?

“And the irony of the irony, my theory was tested – this is exactly my condition,” continued Prager. “And I’m delighted to be alive.”
“We are all in mind and our ability to communicate. I would have liked to be able to move my members? I dream of moving my members almost every night. Of course, I would like it,” he added.
“But I am alive, and I have my loved ones, and I have the public, and I think I could still make a difference. I prefer to be dead? It is inconceivable. I love life. And I like so many people, and of course I like my wife and my children and my grandchildren,” said the founder of Prageru.
Prager continued by saying that 26 years ago, he published “a book on happiness” entitled “Happiness is a serious problem”.
“I would not change a word. This is how I was in philosophy for this terrible thing that I met,” continued Prager. “What I wrote in there, as in expectations and my motto,” if nothing is horrible, life is great “, and I live.”
“I never thought that nothing horrible would happen to me,” he added. “I always believed that I could well be” the other guy “, because people think that it is always the other guy who puts himself in a terrible car accident or a ski accident or a fall, which I had. I never thought that. ”
Prager also noted that in the Bible, “there is a command of God or Moses, and it is that by the lottery, the tribes will be parts distributed from the Holy Land – so it’s just the chance of the draw.”
“There is luck in life, and I was unlucky on November 12, 2024,” said Prager. “But I had a lot of luck almost every day before that, and every day since it.”
“I do not expect God to intervene in everyone’s life, it would make life without meaning,” continued Prager, before encouraging the public to read his book on happiness, adding: “Have I changed my mind in any way?” I didn’t do it. “”
Elsewhere in the interview, Prager shared what he would have said if he could speak to the Charlie Kirk memorial on September 21.
“I would have talked about his courage, but not just courage, his knowledge,” said Prager. “I watched him answer all these students who threw everything they had about him, and his answers were so excellent and so based on knowledge.”

“I couldn’t overcome what he knew and how much he kept,” said Prager. “Everything was very remarkable.”
The CEO of Prageru, Marissa Streit, noted that it was “quite surprising to see almost the entire cabinet, the vice-president, the president, all gathered in the same place”.
“What is most remarkable,” said Prager, “it’s even me – and I’m not sure that Charlie knew how great his impact was.”
“There is a saying among the workers of the wood of Oregon:” You never know the height of a tree until it falls. And this is the case with Charlie, ”added Prager.
The conservative author then noted that Kirk had “dedicated his last book to me, and I was very moved by this”.
“We were all the closest friends he had,” said Prager. “And you heard in the memorial that this is what people felt. This is what Charlie was able to achieve, which is a great success. ”
