Sources — DE Trey Hendrickson to end holdout, report to Bengals

Cincinnati – The last major contract problem for the Bengals of Cincinnati could get closer to a resolution.
Defensive winger All-Pro Trey Hendrickson is expected to end his holdout and report for the training camp on Wednesday, sources told Adam Schefter in Espn. Hendrickson was absent for the first week of team training as he tried to win a contract extension before the next season.
Hendrickson was officially placed on the team’s list did not point out on July 23, one day after the rest of the team’s veterans. Under the terms of the current collective negotiation between the League and the NFL Players Association, Hendrickson can be sentenced to a fine of $ 50,000 for each day. If Hendrickson had included missed pre-season matches, he was also subject to losing part of his base salary for the 2025 season.
But perhaps even more important, Hendrickson’s decision to join Bengals for the training camp could help create a movement in the dead end.
According to a source, Hendrickson’s imminent arrival serves as a good faith gesture to arouse negotiations with the team.
Hendrickson, who will be 31 years old this season, is the reigning NFL bag leader. He was appointed to the Associated Press All-Pro team after managing the league with 17.5 bags. It was also a selection of the pro bowl for the fourth consecutive season.
The former out -of -competition of Florida Atlantic is expected to gain 16 million dollars in cash. Hendrickson is looking for a long-term extension with guaranteed money that goes beyond the first year. The team recently made an offer in the hope of trying to involve Hendrickson this season.
The two parties almost agree on the duration of the agreement and the total value of it, but the conservation of the negotiations is greater than the guaranteed money of the contract, said sources in Schefter.
If the two parties can solve the problem, Bengals will finally have their full complement of players for the first time since the end of the 2024 campaign.
Hendrickson jumped all the team’s off -season training sessions due to the contractual situation. The defensive winger Recruit Shemar Stewart, the first round choice of the team in the April draft, signed his recruit contract on Saturday, ending a one -month dispute with the team.
