Georgia Congressman-Elect Clay Fuller on His Win and Embracing the Trump Agenda – RedState

As RedState reported Tuesday, Judicial Circuit Attorney Clay Fuller (R) handily won a special election runoff to fill the congressional seat vacated by former Trump ally (now critic) Marjorie Taylor Greene.

By the time Decision Desk HQ called the race, Fuller had a comfortable 10-point lead, which should stabilize at around eight points. Instead, Fuller nearly doubled that number with a 14-point victory. Or as Fuller said in Thursday’s video interview below: “two touchdowns.”

On Thursday, Fuller appeared on Fox News’ Faulkner Focus and mocked Democrats who, even though they lost, were still scoring a victory on their spending and increased turnout.

Fuller said:

Democrats have spent about 6.5 million in this race and are trying to claim some sort of moral victory. But only Democrats could actually light the $6.5 million fire, then lose the election by nearly two touchdowns and try to claim victory. We are very confident in our performance on April 7.

Obviously, one thing people don’t talk about is that it was a special election and turnout was different in a special election than in a normal primary. So we’re looking forward to continuing to win this race and dominating this race until November.

This race is reminiscent of the 2024 general election, when former Democratic vice president and presidential candidate Kamala Harris spent $1.5 billion in 107 days, then lost all seven battleground states AND the popular vote to Donald Trump. Yet Democrats and others still argue that Trump did not win with a resounding mandate.

A similar problem with reality exists among some Republican “pundits,” pollsters and pundits who are clinging to this runoff election as if it portends more bad news for the Republicans. These people claim that because Fuller won by less than then-incumbent Marjorie Taylor Greene won re-election, and less than the 37 percentage points by which Trump won this district in 2024, that signals a serious problem for Republicans in the midterms. Republicans may have problems in the midterms, but this GA-14 race won’t be one of them.

Fuller not only set the record straight, but virtually encouraged his colleagues and future candidates to embrace President Trump and his agenda if they want to win.

He is undefeated. And my recommendation to any Republican Party candidate running across the country is to embrace President Trump, because his policies and support lead to victory. You see him in Georgia 14. And he was the key factor, he was the “asset.” And no matter how much money Democrats continue to pour into trying to defeat President Trump, they simply won’t be able to beat him.

WATCH:

President Trump endorsed Fuller ahead of the April 7 runoff election. After Fuller’s victory, he gave even more full support to Truth Social, while calling Fuller’s predecessor a “stinker.”

As for Marjorie Taylor Greene? She did not comment directly on the race; she simply joined the chattering moguls of negativity by reposting one of the pearl-hungry pollsters, claiming: “[…] but the results speak for themselves. Trump moving MAGA from America first to America last, covering up the Epstein files and betraying key campaign promises of no more foreign wars has been the best help for Democrats. Sad!”

The results speak for themselves: Georgia 14 embraces the Trump agenda and adopted the Trump-backed candidate. Fuller is clear on his task: turn out voters and win the November midterms with even greater numbers. He seems to be up to this challenge.

Editor’s note: The 2026 midterm elections will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both houses of Congress.
